Active in private equity since mid 90s, Filippo began as a vice president within the private equity division of Banca Commerciale Italiana. After four years Filippo moved to The Carlyle Group in Milan as a director where he was also involved in setting up the Italian private equity business. He then spent nine years working at Investitori Associati where he was promoted to senior partner in 2008; during this period, he helped set up the Italian business, was involved in fundraising and led a number of transactions. Before joining Progressio in July 2011 as Managing Partner, Filippo was senior partner at Investindustrial and collaborated with UK and Italian private equity funds both as deal originator and potential investor. During his career he completed more than 30 transactions in sectors of Italian excellence. Filippo has a Degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University and is a Chartered Accountant.

Active in private equity since 2003, Piero prior to joining Progressio in 2005, was an investment manager with Mittel Group (2000-2005) where he was involved in the assessment and execution of investment opportunities for Mittel Private Equity. Piero initially joined Mittel Group as an associate where he was involved in the financial analysis and support of M&A and debt restructuring transactions. Piero holds a Degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University.

Nino started his experience in private equity in 2001. Prior to joining Progressio in 2005, he was an investment manager at Centrobanca (an Italian Investment bank) in Milan (2000-2005), where he was involved in the analysis, negotiation and execution of investment opportunities. Prior to this, Nino was a credit analyst covering corporate lending to SMEs for the Italian bank UBI Banca (1999-2001). Nino holds a Degree in Economics and Management from Insubria University. .

He started his experience in private equity in 2006 and prior to joining Progressio in 2008, Alessandro worked as analyst at Quadrivio SGR S.p.A. (2006-2007) a private equity firm based in Milan. Prior to that Alessandro worked as an analyst for G.Trinetti & Partners, a corporate finance consulting firm. Alessandro holds a Degree in Economics and Management from the University of Pescara and a Masters in Business Administration from ESCP.

Massimo started his experience in private equity in 2014 when he joined Progressio. Prior to that, Massimo worked as associate for the advisory firm Klecha & Co (2010-2014). Massimo also completed internships at Lazard & Co. and KPMG in Milan. Massimo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Master of Science in Accounting, Corporate Finance and Control from Bocconi University.

Simone started his experience in private equity in 2019, joining Progressio. Before that he worked as junior analyst in the Financial Sponsor Solutions team at Unicredit Corporate & Investment Banking (2018) in Milan and he undertook an internship in the Leveraged & Structured Finance team at Mediobanca (2017). Simone holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance and a Master Degree in Administration Finance and Controlling from Bocconi University.

Giovanni started his experience in private equity in 2020 joining Progressio. Prior to that, he worked in the Leveraged & Acquisition Finance team at Intesa Sanpaolo (2017-2020) in Milan and he completed an internship in the Leveraged Finance & Sponsor Coverage team at IKB Deutsche Industriebank (2016). Giovanni holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Marche Polytechnic University and a Master of Science in Management & Corporate Finance from Bocconi University.

Eleonora started her experience in private equity in 2022 joining Progressio. Prior to that, she worked in the M&A team at Gruppo Mondadori (2021) and KPMG (2015-2021). Eleonora holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master of Science in Economics of Markets and Financial Intermediaries from Cattolica University.

Leonardo started his career in Private Equity in February 2024, joining Progressio. Previously, he worked as an analyst in the Leveraged Finance team at BNL BNP Paribas (2021-2023). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master in Finance from the University of Grenoble.

Martina started her experience in private equity in January 2024, joining Progressio. Martina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and she is obtaining a Master of Science Degree in Management from Bocconi University.

Mauro has more than 20 years of experience in managing consulting projects for large multinational corporate as well as small/mid size companies. He has developed a strong expertise in corporate strategy and business planning, performance improvement (supply chain, operations and commercial), commercial due diligence and post-merger integration program across various sectors (industrial, energy, food, telecom & IT/SW). Before joining Progressio (2020), Mauro was an Associate Partner in EY Parthenon; he also worked for Bain & Company, Monitor Deloitte and Solving Efeso. Mauro holds a Degree in Industrial Engineering at Polytechnic of Milan and holds a MBA with distinction from Hult international Business School (Boston, USA).

Beatrice is in the private equity industry since 2009 when she joined Progressio. Before that she was a junior analyst in the leverage finance team at Unicredit Market & Investment Banking (2008) in Milan and she undertook an internship in the financial sponsors coverage team of the Italian bank Capitalia (2007). Beatrice holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting, Corporate Finance and Control from Bocconi University.

Nicola prior to joining Progressio in 2011, worked as an administrative officer at Investitori Associati (2007-2011) a private equity firm based in Milan. Before that, Nicola worked as a senior fund administrator at Engineering S.p.A. (2004-2007), a fund administrator firm based in Milan. Nicola also worked as a Consultant at Caridata S.p.A. (2001-2003) an IT company based  in Milan. Nicola holds a Degree in Economics and Banking from the University of Siena.

Francesca prior to joining Progressio in 2024, worked as a compliance, internal audit and antimoney laundering consultant at Comply Consulting S.r.l., an advisory company specialized in PE and VC funds (2018-2024). Prior to that, she worked as a trainee in primary standing international law firm in Milan and completed an internship in legal and compliance team at Monte dei Paschi di Siena (2017-2018). She holds a Master of Law from Bocconi University.
